Weight loss and metabolic clinic in Orlando (always see MD)

How it works

  • 1. Comprehensive Metabolic Intake

A full hour of physician time. Not a nurse visit, not a fifteen-minute follow-up dressed up as a consult. And includes the following:

Resting metabolic rate: This will let us know how many calories you burn on any given day.

Body composition analysis: a scan that separates your weight into fat, muscle, and water. The number on your bathroom scale can't tell you whether you're losing fat or losing muscle. This can. It's also how we'll track your progress.

Review of your last PCP labs or order for a whole complete metabolic lab panel: Thyroid function, A1c, full lipid panel, complete blood count, comprehensive metabolic panel, and vitamin D, plus anything else your history calls for (if no insurance, starts at $29).

Your personal treatment plan. Built around your measured numbers, your medical history, your schedule, and your budget. Written down, so you leave with something in your hands.

A straight answer on medications. If a GLP-1 is right for you, we'll tell you. If it isn't, we'll tell you that too, and explain what is. You'll get honest, up-front-no-membership, pricing on every route insurance coverage, manufacturer self-pay programs, and compounded options starting at $60/month, so you can choose what actually fits your life.

Insurance advocacy on your behalf. If your plan requires prior authorization, we write it. We know what these letters need to say, and we've gotten them approved.

A results conversation after your labs come back. Dr. Carrazana reviews your results personally and walks you through them over secure, HIPAA-compliant messaging. This is included, it isn't a second appointment you have to pay for.

Care in English or Spanish. Whichever you're most comfortable in. Atención en español.

Patients paying with insurance will pay only their co-pay/deductibles only. For those not using insurance, this comprehensive metabolic intake is $399.

  • 2. What happens next

Your plan is yours. There's no membership to join and no subscription to cancel. Follow-up visits are available when you want them, priced clearly, with body composition and metabolic testing repeated at each one so you can see what's actually changing, at no extra cost.

Some people come back monthly. Some come back twice a year. You decide.

    A few honest notes:

Lab work is billed separately. We order your labs through Quest, and Quest bills your insurance directly or you can pay their cash price. This keeps your cost down.

Medications are not included. Prescriptions are filled at your pharmacy and paid through your insurance, a manufacturer program, or cash pricing, depending on what makes sense for you.

HSA and FSA funds can typically be used for this visit. Check with your plan administrator.

    Who this is for:

You've been told to "just eat less and move more" and you know that isn't the whole story

You're considering a GLP-1 and want someone to tell you the truth about it

You're already on a GLP-1 and want to make sure you're not losing muscle

Your weight has changed and you don't know why

You want a doctor who has an hour, not twelve minutes

  • 3. Ongoing care & support

Recommended to meet every four-eight weeks to discuss your progress. We will review your body composition to make sure you are not losing muscle, make changes to your nutrition, physical activity and behaviors.

We’ll also monitor for any side effects and adjust dosage every 4 weeks as indicated by the FDA and only if needed (not everyone needs to be on the highest dose).

You’ll have access to on-demand provider messaging and guidance on what to expect on your journey, every step of the way through our HIPAA-compliant electronic medical record system.

Patients paying with insurance will pay only their co-pay/deductibles only. For those not using insurance, follow-ups are $129.
