Does Get Healthy Medicine accept insurance?

Yes. We are in network with Aetna, Curative, Cigna OAP and Cigna PPO, UnitedHealthcare Community Plan, Optum VA Community Care Network, Florida Medicaid, and Florida Medicare. Blue Cross Blue Shield is billed out of network. Insured patients pay only their copay, deductible, or coinsurance. For patients without coverage, self-pay is $399 for the initial visit and $129 for each follow-up, and CareCredit financing is available.

How much does an initial visit cost without insurance?

The self-pay initial visit is $399. It is a full hour with the physician and includes body composition analysis, a personalized nutrition and activity plan, prescriptions if indicated, and any prior authorizations. Follow-up visits are $129.

Who qualifies for GLP-1 therapy like Wegovy or Zepbound?

FDA criteria allow GLP-1 therapy for patients with a BMI of 30 or higher, or a BMI of 27 or higher with at least one weight-related condition such as type 2 diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, or obstructive sleep apnea. We see patients age 12 and older. Eligibility is determined at your visit.

What if my insurance will not cover a brand-name GLP-1?

We handle prior authorizations and medical necessity letters in house. If brand-name coverage is denied or unaffordable, we can prescribe a compounded GLP-1. Compounded semaglutide starts at $175 covering the first three months, and compounded tirzepatide at $275 covering the first two months. That is pharmacy cost including supplies, shipping, and tax, with no clinic markup.

Do you offer telehealth?

Yes. We see patients in person at our Lake Nona clinic in Orlando and by secure video or audio telehealth anywhere in Florida. Visits are available in English and Spanish.
